Is Your Maidstone Home Ready for the Next Heatwave?
Air conditioning installation in Maidstone is something we’re being asked about more and more – and it’s not hard to understand why. Summers across Kent have shifted noticeably over the past decade, and the older housing stock that makes up much of Maidstone – Victorian terraces, 1930s semis, post-war builds – was designed for a climate that no longer quite exists. Loft conversions and south-facing extensions are the rooms we hear about most: spaces that become genuinely unusable by mid-afternoon in July.
We often hear from customers who’ve spent a couple of summers tolerating the heat before finally deciding enough is enough – usually after a particularly bad night’s sleep, or after realising their young children are struggling with the bedroom temperature. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Bull Air Installations fits air conditioning systems across Maidstone and the surrounding area. As approved installers for Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Samsung, and other leading brands, we survey, supply, and commission everything ourselves – no subcontracting, no surprises. Every installation starts with a free no-obligation survey so you know exactly what’s involved before you commit to anything.

What Type of System Do You Actually Need?
This is usually the first question customers ask, and it’s a fair one – the wrong system for your property means poor performance and unnecessary running costs.
For most Maidstone homes, a split system is the starting point. A single indoor unit paired with an outdoor compressor covers one room effectively and suits the majority of residential installs. Where you need cooling across several rooms – a master bedroom, a home office, and a living room, for instance – a multi-split system uses one outdoor unit to serve multiple indoor heads, which keeps the external footprint manageable and the installation neater.
Ducted and cassette systems come into their own on larger properties or where aesthetics matter – ceiling cassettes in particular offer discreet coverage without a wall-mounted unit in view. We’ll talk through what makes sense for your specific layout during the survey, rather than pushing you towards a particular system before we’ve seen the property.
One thing worth knowing: modern inverter-driven systems do far more than cool. Most units we install operate as heat pumps, meaning they provide efficient heating in winter too. The Energy Saving Trust has useful guidance on heat pump running costs if you want to understand the efficiency case before your survey.

What Happens on Installation Day?
A lot of customers tell us they’ve held off getting AC fitted because they’re worried about the disruption – drilling through walls, cables everywhere, a messy finish. It’s a reasonable concern, and one we take seriously.
A standard single-room split system typically takes between half a day and a full day, depending on the property layout and how far the indoor unit is from the external wall. Multi-room installs take longer, but we’ll give you a clear timeframe before we start. Our engineers work to a tidy standard throughout – dust sheets down, fixings properly sealed, and everything tested before we leave.
The installation involves mounting the indoor unit on the wall, positioning the outdoor compressor unit – usually on a bracket or ground slab – and running the refrigerant pipework and cabling between them. All refrigerant handling is carried out by our F-Gas certified engineers in line with current regulations, which matters both for safety and for keeping your warranty valid.
We’ll also walk you through the controls before we go. Most systems come with a remote and a smartphone app – we make sure you actually know how to use both.

Our engineers have been installing and commissioning AC systems across Kent for over a decade, and we work on everything from single-room residential fits to larger multi-zone properties. Being approved installers for the major brands – Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Samsung among them – means we can source the right unit for your home and back it up properly if anything ever needs attention.
Customers often tell us that what they valued most wasn’t just the installation itself, but knowing who they were dealing with from the start. A clear quote, a straightforward survey, no pressure to upgrade to something they didn’t need. That’s the experience we aim to give every time – though every property is different, and we’d rather be honest about what your specific job involves than make promises before we’ve seen it.

I am very pleased with the installation work carried out Harry and his team. Harry provided a clean solution to route the air con pipes/cables inside the internal wall which was labour intense work. Most of the air con install traders refused do the work and preferred external trunking. Harry prepared well with his team, quick turnaround, minimum disruption and delivered as accepted. I highly recommend Bull Air Installation services.Posted on Mo MoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Harry and his team were absolutely brilliant with our air conditioning installation. He was highly communicative beforehand giving us several options and future proofing the system. We opted for a Mitsubishi system, which does air conditioning, fan and heating. This was perfect because we have now decided to install solar panels which means we will have a/c and heating run from these saving our heating and cooling costs. His team came and installed in one day, were thoroughly pleasant and tidied up after they finished. They were punctual, reasonably priced and included everything, units, electrics and labour. He also worked with Mitsubishi to get us the right sized units. They are extremely quiet and have helped our loft and office be the right temperature now. We plan to add further units in the future. Highly recommend them.Posted on ROB TOULSONTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic job and thoroughly professional. Cant recommend enoughPosted on James DigbyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Harry and the team were professional, knowledgeable and very friendly. Harry did a site visit to confirm the units required and gave me every confidence he knew what he was talking about. (Another installer did not seem to be able to make the calculation properly). On the day of the install, the team were prompt, on time, tidy and accommodating to my family. The workmanship was great and looks fantastic. The units Harry suggested are working like a charm and sleep mode is very quiet; as well as the outdoor unit! If we require another air con unit in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to use Harry and the team again!Posted on Martin HuynhTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The process of choosing our AC system was very thorough with lots of input from Harry. We ended up choosing a multi-split Daikin system for both heat and cooling for 3 bedrooms. Harry and his team were professional, friendly and overall excellent. The installation was quick and completely painless. It's only been a month but the system is working perfectly and I can't recommend them enough. Will give an update about the system's performance in a year.Posted on Matt SealeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The installation was clean, efficient, and the system works perfectly. keeping my home cool and comfortable. His pricing was fair, and his attention to detail was impressive. I’d highly recommend Harry’s services to anyone needing AC work done right! Thanks, HarryPosted on Brian SalmonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very happy with the quality of the work that Harry did for us. We discussed our needs with him and he recommended the best solution for us. He installed three indoor units running off of one outdoor unit that he managed to get on our flat roof - no-one else wanted to do that! We plan to have Harry install a couple more indoor units to run off of the same outdoor unit. Harry and his team are very understanding, friendly and clean and tidy, all at a very competitive price! Would definitely recommend his services.
